The 3rd Borneo Safari Open 4x4 Jamboree will be held in the Ulu Kimanis area
from March 17 to 19. The event is organised by the Kinabalu 4WD Club and they
are expecting about 80 4WD vehicles with 250 members and 20 to 30 non-members to
take part. Participation fee is RM100 per family. Flagging off will be at Papar
town at 9.00am on March 17. The standard 4WD vehicles will be taking the Kimanis
- Keningau route while the modified vehicles will be taking the Simpudu - Lingan
route which will pass through extreme roads. There will also be outdoor games
for children during the jamboree and prizes in the form of cash, tyres, and
motor oil, amongst others, will be given out to the winners. The above details
were disclosed by the organising chairman, Edward Lingkapo. He invited the
